South Australian Government workers across every corner of the public sector are being ignored in the face of one of the largest industrial actions their union has seen in decades. Safety risks and workloads have reached breaking point, while wages in some areas have even fallen below the award. It is simply not good enough.

Correctional Officers have led the way, bearing the brunt of this dispute and foregoing wages to take urgent industrial action. They, and thousands of other public sector workers, are calling for a fair pay rise that reflects the critical, high-risk work they perform every day.

These workers are taking a stand because the system is no longer safe, sustainable, or fair. They need the Government to step up, listen, and deliver an offer that respects the people who keep this state running.
