EB25 Update - Escalation of Industrial Action

At the PSA Mega Rally on 26 November, we made it clear that unless the Enterprise Bargaining negotiations were resolved, we would escalate action.

Today, Corrections Officers across the state have kicked off that escalation.

We have been absolutely clear: members need a improved offer before Christmas. We will not allow the workforce to head into a second Christmas without certainty, fairness, and a deal that reflects the value of their work.

Following last week’s delegates meeting, we are now proceeding with planned industrial action across our state’s prisons. The PSA has been in direct contact with WSR and worksites to coordinate the action starting tomorrow.

We are calling on all PSA members to stand in solidarity with Corrections by not backfilling prisons during this stop-work action.

Members should also be aware that media will be present at the stop-work meeting tomorrow at 7:30am at Yatala. We strongly encourage Corrections members from AWP to attend Yatala and show their support.

We recognise the significance of this step. Members are putting their pay on the line because they urgently need a fair and timely deal. We stand firmly with them and will continue to escalate until the government does what is right.

If you are experiencing financial hardship during this period, please contact us confidentially at enquiries@psaofsa.asn.au.

Solidarity.
