SA Museum Reseach and Collections Restructure Update
The Public Service Association (PSA) has written to Chief Executive Officer of the SA Museum, Dr David Gaimster, to provide an overview of the general position of PSA members on the proposed restructure of Research and Collections.

It is the PSA’s position that the SA Museum has not engaged in a genuine consultation process with our members and consequently has sought the assistance of the South Australian Employment Tribunal (SAET) to resolve the issues and ensure the Museum complies with its industrial obligations. The parties attended conciliation conferences at the SAET on 10 and 12 April 2024, however were not able to reach agreement. The matter will now be referred for arbitration where increased scrutiny will be applied to the Museum’s consultation process.
The PSA will continue to provide members with regular updates as things progress.
